The only one worth noting for me is probably David Petraeus. SUPER weird guy!
I went to high school with Sergey Brin's little brother though (Sergey was a few years before my time, haha)

Paul McCartney and Jerry Seinfeld are probably the biggest ones. Love celebrity sightings!

Several pro wrestlers throughout the years. But, most famous would probably be Steven Tyler. He lives semi nearby and came into the restaurant where I worked after High School on some random weekday. He was really chatty and I will never forget his parachute pants with an embroidered dragon on them with Nike Mary Jane's.

I saw Andre 3000 at a restaurant. Also Nene Leeks at a bar. We always miss the celebs when they are in town.

Hmm, I have seen so many, but very few interactions.
I was Justin Timberlakes waitress in like 2000, he was still in Nsync.
Kate Hudson sat next to me in a tiny restaurant, and she was stunning and so friendly and said hi to us.
I was at the premiere in NYC for Tron (so random) and got to go to the after party at Cipriani, so I was at the open bar and brad and Jen were right there, will smith, the Olsen twins, lots of others, can't remember. Chatted with Diane Kruger in the bathroom for a bit but had no idea who she was, wasn't til after that movie she got famous.
So fun reading these.

@Foodnerd81: that's awesome!!! He had his bodyguards with him at the bar too. They cleared the bathroom so he could go in alone. Ha.

Jack Black when he was in New Zealand filming King Kong. Ran into him after a night of drinking he was so lovely walked down the street with us until his friend pulled him away! We also see Peter Jackson all the time as he has a house in my home town its pretty cool how down to earth he is, everyone here just leaves him alone!

I went to grad school with Ashley Judd and she ended up in my little study group. She had us over our her gorgeous house, I was awkwardly 10 min early, so the two of us chatted over her super fancy cheese plate on her living room floor in front of the fireplace. She was lovely and smart!
Fun thread
ETA: I also met Joe Biden on Nantucket! He is soooo charming. Made DH a little uncomfortable He took pictures with us and we patted his dog I loved every moment

Bill Clinton is the only one I approached -- saw him at a baseball game and shook his hand (I saw other people doing it first, haha). In terms of sightings, when I lived in NYC I saw a decent number of people. I think that's normal for NYers. Jimmy Fallon once literally almost ran into me. I also saw Joan Rivers once. And TV news people/talking head types, but that was part of my job

Katy perry and John Mayer at the Park Hyatt in Tokyo restaurant/bar!

Mohammad Ali. A family friend is good friends with one of his daughters and she set up the encounter at Kinko's. He was there making copies for a children's book he was writing.
I had lunch with Kevin Hart because a college friend of mine used to open for him and I came to hang out with the friend before the show.
Total random, I saw ?uestlove from the Roots late in Philly one night after partying all night.

John Mayer bought my friend and I drinks at the Skybar in LA like 10 years ago. Around the same time I literally ran into Jennifer Lopez - she is insanely beautiful in real life.
Bill Clinton is close friends with people in both my and my husband's immediate families, so we've had dinner, and other meals/events together several times.

I made coffee for Bonnie Hunt when I worked at Starbucks! I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are probably the most famous. But also, Sheryl Crow, Kimberly Williams (the girl from Father of the Bride), Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Eli Manning... And I know I've seen others but they are escaping me.

Does a Nascar driver count? LOL Greg Biffle spent an evening playing games (like cornhole) with us at a race when he was in the Busch series (now the Xfinity Series). He wanted to come back the following year but his car owner wouldn't let him. lol

I've seen a number of celebs since I used to live in NYC. Elijah Wood once opened a door for me. He's really short! (Roughly my size). I once had dinner one table away from Jean-Paul Gaultier in Paris. In the early 2000s I had a photo gig in DC and covered a conference attended by Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, John Kerry and others.

I ran into Rob Lowe while we were both staying in the same hotel in Hawaii just a few months ago He was really handsome!
@oliviaoblivia: I Suits! Where were you? My friends have seen them filming in downtown before.

McHammer had a private even at he restaurant I work at. I asked him for a photo when he was standing alone waiting for his car. He was really nice! I don't think anyone recognized him because he was wearing a suit and not parachute pants!

Ran into Mike Tyson at a U2 concert about 10 years ago. Sat in front of Dennis Rodman on a plane (yeah, he missed his flight and had to fly coach!) he was really cool though.
I've worked with a couple retired baseball players dogs at a clinic I used to work at.

Hugh Grant almost ran me over with his car so I'd have to say that's my most famous run in. Lol!

I ate dinner a couple tables over from Mario Lopez when we lived in Dallas.

Tiger Woods with his girlfriend in a Vegas nightclub (this was before he was really famous). I met the The Black Eyed Peas at a house party in LA (before they were really famous and before Fergie joined). Mario Lopez visited my middle school and got attacked by a bunch of school girls not wanting to let him go. He was super nice! Back in the days it was really common to see him with his gf at an ice skating rink in San Diego.

Am I the only person with zero celebrity sightings? I need to get out more! (that even includes no country music stars after living in Nashville for years lol)

@mrsjyw: Hold up. You're friends with Glenn? I love him!!!
Um, my most famous was Davy Jones from the Monkees. Just a few years before he died, he was sitting next to my dad and I on a flight home from Seattle. He was so nice.
I've had a few other celeb spottings, but no interactions - Don Cheadle, Jeremy Piven, The Rock... I practically stalked the filming of Silver Linings Playbook in Center City Philly (I actually did walk by the actors' trailers every day) to get a glimpse of Bradley Cooper, but alas...
pear / 1837 posts
I stalked Jerry Seinfeld on the street in NYC 15 years ago and got his autograph.
When I lived in Santa Fe, I saw Russell Crowe, Ray Liota, Robert Duvall, Ali McGraw.
Elijah Wood was in my town a few months ago for a film festival. People FREAKED out (we don't see a lot of celebrities here).

I once rung up Nancy Kerrigan when I worked at The Gap in high school! I didn't realize it was her until after she left... then we opened the register and checked out her signature on her credit card receipt, haha.
We once got stuck behind the Obamas' motorcade when we were vacationing on Martha's Vineyard at the same time as them. We didn't see anyone but it was a crazy long line of black SUVs!

Natalie Portman was in my college class so I saw her alot back then and now occasionally at reunions.
