i think #1, by just a little bit. she didn't need to be held as much and she was a better sleeper by this age and she spit up like 5 times in her entire life. but they are both very easy babies.

I am feeling like #2 will HAVE to be easier than #1! LO1 was a very difficult, colicky, high needs, bad sleeper (although not horrific), and had a lot of issues BFing in the beginning. Things got better around 4 months though, but she was just never one of those "chill" babies. At least I'm prepared if #2 is the same!

When I answered this a few months ago, I said #2. But now I'm feeling like #1. Guess it's always changing!

#1 was way easier. She was just born chill. #2 has to be held all the time and would have made a better first baby! He wouldn't be so bad on his own but it's hard when I also have a 3yo.

I didn't realize that my first was an "easy" baby (she was a horrific sleeper) until my second came around. She was so, so hard! She was colicky and cried 10+ hours a day and even now, at 16 months, she is extremely high needs. She throws tantrums that not even my almost 3-year old has ever come close to!

Both my kids are high-needs and neither is easier than the other, just different. I *thought* the second one was at first, because initially she slept better and wasn't as colicky, but that changed, and she's ended up a worse sleeper overall, and her colicky fits just happened at night.

#1 for sure! She was the world's easiest baby and has always been such a sweet, easy going, happy baby, now toddler. At 2.5 years old, she has never even come close to having a tantrum, and other than being a picky eater, is an absolute dream child. We seriously encounter none of the behaviours so many other people talk about when it comes to toddlers, she is just so easy.
#2, on the other hand, is a wonderfully happy baby, but she's a feisty one! She knows what she wants and she wants it right that second. And goodness help the person who takes something away from her! She just turned 13 months and she's already started with the occasional arching of the back, screaming tantrums.....I am so unprepared for this!

Ugh #1 was way easier. He had a tough phase that recently ended, from about 2.5-3 (only lasted 6 mos at most). Otherwise he is awesome and very laid back and fun. #2 is tough and tougher.

#2 was the way easier baby - a dream baby! BUT.... He's been the harder toddler!

#2, by far. He actually sleeps! By himself! For more than 40 minutes!
#1 wasn't even that bad either, he just thought sleep was for chumps. And once he figured out how to get moving, fooorget it.

Without a doubt #2 is an easier baby. #1 had undiagnosed food allergies that made life very difficult for many months and she has crazy low sleep needs so I hardly get a break.

#1 easiest
#2 most difficult
#3 in between the two... definitely more chill and on the easy side!

So far #2 is a much easier baby. She sleeps just as poorly as #1 did but she far happier and doesn't have reflux like DS did.
