After watching the trailer for the 50 shades of grey movie, the actors they selected for the movie didn't meet my expectations of how I pictured Christian and Anastasia.
Here is who I would have like to see play the respective roles:

@honeydew: Henry Cavill and Emilia Clarke are exactly who I would have cast too! I don't think Jamie Dornan is dark and brooding enough.

@Honeydew: I have no idea, but I felt the same way - pretty disappointed! I didn't feel the sexual tension between them in the trailer. Hopefully the movie is better, but I'm already feeling disappointed. Maybe my imagination is too much for the movies though

@LuLu Mom: My guess is they'll HAVE to tame it down to get the R rating, because no movie, especially one THIS big wants an NC-17 rating attached to it! Which means it will probably suck, haha.

@Adira: I hated the books actually, I just hope the acting is better than the writing was! ha I didn't know it was possible to hate both leads in a book but I did

@LuLu Mom: Nope, I'm with you. I hated both characters too and couldn't read past the first book, I thought it was so terrible. I'm kind of curious to see the movie though just to see what they DO with the material! At least we probably won't get all that "inner goddess" monologues, right???

@Mrs. Jump Rope Alexander Skaarsgard is also a great choice. Tall, brooding, and looks like he could be a clean or as dirty as he wants to be.
As for the books, they were horribly written. I'm not sure how much material they have to make it into a 3 part movie.

I actually didn't think who they cast for Ana was bad, though Emilia Clarke would have been great! Maybe a little distracting because I would keep wondering when she was going to scream "Where are my dragons?!". Lucy Hale would have been good. I always pictured Alexis Bledel for her part though.
