It's the movie with James Franco & Seth Rogan and about killing Kim Jong-un.

Storyline

In the action-comedy The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show "Skylark Tonight." When they discover that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong-un.

Now there's news about Sony hackers threatening attacks against anyone who shows or sees the movie. I think a few movie theaters have cancelled the showings.

Even when I saw the trailer a few months ago, I asked the DH if this movie was a good idea. He said that they've made movies about other countries in the past.

Anyway, I won't see it and have no plans. DH won't see it, either, because I think the reviews have come out and they look bad. I wonder if he would have seen it if there were good reviews.

I'm not sure what I think about the Sony hacker's threats. The radio show I was listening to thought it was a great publicly stunt, but Sony is already telling theaters that they don't have to show it. Sounds like a possible threat.

ETA: From my CNN news alert: The comedy is scheduled to come out on Christmas Day. Sony does not plan to pull the film. Among the top chains that have decided to not show the movie are Regal, Cinemark, Carmike Cinemas, Arclight and Southern.
