We haven't had one of these threads in a while, and there's a woman I work with who is notorious for scheduling meetings and making a big deal about when they are only to decline them a half hour before the meeting starts complaining about being double booked.
Figure out how to manage your time! It's impossible to have a meeting with her included, and then complains about not being included.

To continue on the meeting theme.... I have a weekly meeting that can be up to two hours long and usually only about 10 or 15 minutes is actually relevant to my team. I also hate when people schedule meetings at the end of the day, like 4:00 or later.

@MrsSCB: Or worse than after 4pm, people who schedule meetings at 5pm or later. As if it's normal protocol to have a standing 6pm meeting simply because, again, you cannot seem to manage your day.

Under no circumstances is it okay to clip ALL your nails at your desk. One or two snips - fine. Do NOT clip all your nails though!! Ugggghhhhh

My biggest one is talking in the womens room. I hate having female bosses for this reason. My last boss was the worst, she would corner me in the bathroom and loudly grill me about accounts. She also spoke to me the whole time i was on the toilet. Thankfully I am the only female at my new job!
I also dislike when coworkers "bellyache" about our bosses or our jobs. It is so unprofessional and brings morale way down. In fact, I don't even like to hear anything personal at all other than polite conversational comments. My first day at my current job, my new cube mate told me all about how he doesnt speak to his mother anymore and had to have surgeries for genetic issues. This continued until he was fired 2 weeks later.

Having to work on the weekends and in the evenings to clean up someone else's mess on a project I used to work on (several years ago, but I'm the only person in the group who has worked on it in depth) — it's not even my job!! Frustrating.

Oh boy I could list 
these all pertain to one particular coworker
1. she's always SO busy and never has time to make changes she's responsible for, however she expects you to drop everything when it's your turn.
2. She will ignore you when you ask a question or a comment, just straight up pretend she didn't hear you...so rude.
3. If she overhears someone else discussing something with our manager that she's not aware of she will run to his office to be filled in, claiming we are "leaving her out" even when it has nothing to do with her. She's well into her 40s, not a young kid.

My boss comes late to every meeting, if he shows up at all. Then he walks in and out of the meeting every few minutes. When he returns he expects the meeting to pause so he can get a recap of everything he missed. It would be one thing if the meeting was just his team but it happens in all sorts of cross functional meetings. It drives me insane.

I would also like to add it annoys me when my coworkers complain about our job. I came from a pretty crappy work environment with crappy pay and lots of stress so to me, this job is like heaven! No stress, easy work, nice boss... like, count your blessings people!!

My pet peeve is about meetings too! I work for a small company so a lot of meetings are random, I never have time to prep for it, lasts forever, goes off on tangents..

-Stop following me around like a lost puppy. You're twice my age and need to start making big girl decisions on your own.
- One of the women in our office smokes, which...whatever, but her clothing/sweaters/jackets never get washed (and she's admitted to only having one shower a week!), and it reeks of smoke in and around her office. You know when she's been in the bathroom because you can smell her. It's disgusting. Please, if you're going to smoke, try to do it cleanly...
- smoke breaks 3 - 4 times in the morning that are 10 - 15 minutes (sometimes more) long, and nothing is ever said! Yet, when I go get a coffee or a muffin, I get major side eye.
Like, there are so many more about every single person in my office, I could go on for days. It's one of the many reasons I'm so unhappy here and would love to find new work but it's terrible timing because our economy is in the shitter.

Okay, I always thought I was tolerant of other people until I moved to my new spot a few weeks ago.
The guy who sits in the next cube is a pig. He has no manners. He burps out loud, he makes loud noises when he stretches, he laughs out when he reads something funny, he blows his nose and then proceeds to make snorting sounds. I'm not even joking. This is every single day.
It's absolutely disgusting. I am going to have to start getting used to listening to music because I absolutely cannot stand this person.

Just thought of another! I'm totally fine when people ask me questions. But don't send your direct report my way to answer questions that you should know but don't have the "time" to answer. My time is valuable too!

My biggest work pet peeve currently is people who constantly complain about how OMGSOBUSY they are... in my experience, those people are the least busy (and least productive).

@Shutterbug: I was about to say the same. My office is made up of two departments. My department gets asked to do things that logically should be handled by the other department, just because the other department is "SSOOOO Busy!"
But if they stopped complaining how busy they were and spent that time working, they'd probably have plenty of time.

So so so many... but my biggest pet peeve is when someone comes to my cube when I am clearly busy working and they just stand there waiting for me to acknowledge them... and then when I do acknowledge them if I keep on working (bc I'm busy!!) they end up being there for NO reason. "So, how's it going?" Well, I'm busy!! So leave me alone!! I'm so happy for you that you aren't busy and can just stand around chatting but I cant!
and ps if I wasn't busy I'd be checking hb!! LOL
