I would call tomorrow, it might have been a mistake. The worse that can happen is nothing, and maybe you'll get money back.

Did you get an itemizes receipt? Sometimes that will give you a clue. If they needed to do an extra X-ray or ultrasound guidance, it can be a big bump in cost. I have too much experience with this recently, unfortunately!

@Charm54: It seems weird that they'd quote you $350 when the procedure alone was $325 and the initial anesthesia would put you up past $350! I'd ask about it, what's the worst that could happen? They'd say, sorry, that's the cost? No harm in inquiring!

@Charm54: I agree! The surgery itself was around $300, but they didn't account for everything else!

@Charm54: I would definitely say something! I've actually had them just make a simple mistake on my bill before for something like that, and it was totally unintentional and an easy fix.

I would ask. My vet quotes a high cost and a low cost. $700 is no joke (I recently just spend $600+! ) so I'd def ask what happened that made it so much higher!

I would say something. Even if it's just to clarify what their policy is. As in, "is it policy to not include all costs in the estimate?" You can just frame it as getting knowledge for future visits. But I would definitely say something, all of that should have been included in the estimate.
