Just curious. How much do you pay for your nanny per week? How many kids does s/he watch? What are their hours?
Thanks!

Very curious! I think we are going to offer 400 a week for about 4 1/2 days. Not sure yet though.

Ours is only $75 a week for 3 days - but we will be dropping off late and picking up early. We share with another family who is full time

Ours is under the lowest in the range of options... 2 kids, 9-10 hours M-F.... But we live in a developing economy. It's the going rate.

I can't do it per week right now, since hours vary. We pay $13/hr plus two weeks paid vacation.

We do a nanny share with another family so she cares for our 2 children @ $7.50 an hour for each child ($15 an hr.) I will be working out a different rate in a few months because I am pregnant and she will begin caring for the baby when I return to work. Childcare is going to be one of our biggest expenses once the new baby comes. Eek!

Ours is $15/hr, two days a week - 10 hours each day. So $300/week for us but not a full week.

I made $325/week (4 days, 9 hours each) for two kids 1.5 and 6. I nannied for families before that too and made about the same.

I voted as a nanny. I generally make $10/hr, which for full time comes out to $400/wk. That's with no paid vacation, benefits, etc usually. That also seems to be very standard for my area, based on what I've been told.

We do a nanny share (two babies) M-F, 8-6 and our nanny is paid $9 an hour by each family. Our half is $450 a week.
ETA: I voted only for our share, but she makes $900 a week.

@regberadaisy: I know it's a terrifying # when you're the one paying it, but as the one earning it- I need to make a living wage & life's expensive.

My sister is a nanny for three kids and she gets paid $28 an hour, 26 hours a week.

I work as a nanny and make $27/hr. Hours vary from 16-40+ but average 16/20/week. I make $7-9 more/hour than average around where I live because I also work as the family's personal chef.

My sil makes $80 per day. Hours vary from a 5 hour day to sometimes 10 hour and she always gets $80. She is negotiating to add in some cleaning to her role to get up to $100 per day. It's for a 3 and 6 yr old.
