For me it would depend what the other parent did. If it was DH and since I SAH then maybe. We like doing things during the week because of less crowds anyway, neither of our parents work so that wouldn't be an issue but it would suck not being able to go to birthday parties etc on weekends

Nope! Wouldn't want to miss out on all the weekend activities! I work one weekend per month and wouldn't be willing to do more.

It worked great for us before we had a school aged child- it definitely had pros and cons.
My husband liked it until college football season started, then he whined about it constantly. Anything that happened on weekends was automatically out, it started to wear on us. Personally I loved having weekdays off with him, we could go to any activity we would normally do on the weekend and have practically nobody there- breakfast, children's museum, hikes, etc.
But with our oldest in school regularly, having weekends off together has become so much more important to our quality of life.
