Sixteen minutes until I leave work to get Baby A from her first day at day care. She's only been there five hours. I'm doing OK, but really just trying not to think about it. I almost lost it when we were there this morning. This is hard, y'all.

I agree, first day is the worst. I commend you for not losing it... I totally cried and the daycare teacher had to give me a hug.

@BlueWolverine: By "almost" losing it you have me beat by a mile. I cried hysterically. But when I got there to pick her up... she was smiley and happy! She had eaten and slept and played and had a great day. And from there on out every day got easier!

Six minutes!
I totally freaked out last week and had several long ugly cries about our previous day care. I think the fact that I found a new one that I like a lot better is helping. I have only cried once while at work today. Thanks for commiserating, bees!

Raced out, got stuck in effing traffic (have to find a new route) but arrived to a chilled out baby sitting in her teacher's lap. She was SO tired. Only took 15-25 minute naps. I hope she'll start stretching those out.
Lived without my heart today and survived. Now for tomorrow.

I had my first day back at my day job. She was with her dad so that didn't worry me but it's a job that I'd rather not have to go back to but have to while DH is in school. Hang in there!
