Our LO is almost 9 months old and tested positive for strep on Monday. She was prescribed zithromax, which is a 5 day antibiotic (today is last day of dosage). She seems to have zero interest in drinking her milk (and honestly, doesn't seem that hungry), which is worrisome. I pump, so she only gets breastmilk and it seems that we can only get her to drink some milk out of the bottle when she is asleep or half asleep. If we stick the bottle in her mouth when she is sleeping, she will drink some. She is probably getting 5 oz during the day and maybe another 10-12 oz at night. It seems like her daily intake is about half of normal.

We are doing what we can..have called the dr a few times, feeding her what solids she will eat (squash, cereal with milk, etc.), pedialyte when she will take it (with syringe), giving her sippy with water (although she isn't too interested)..not sure what else we can do?

Could be due to teething, effects of the antibiotic, who knows..We are hopeful that she will turn a corner since today is the last day of her antibiotics..We do have an appt on Monday, but wish that she would eat in the meantime..

Has anyone else run across this before??
