Ive been sick for 9 days and finally dragged myself to the doc and have a sinus infection. Lovely. Doc prescribed ammox. I want to get better but am worried about my supply, which has already tanked from being sick.
If you took antibiotics while BF, did your supply tank? For how long?

I was worried about this but it never happened and I took amox and cipro. I pumped and nursed during the 10 day courses.

Antibiotics had no effect on my supply, but I'd add a probiotic to both your diet and your LO's because sometimes enough antibiotic can pass through the milk to cause diarrhea and subsequently diaper rash. My doc said the benefit of me feeling better was worth the slight downside of the baby getting a bit of antibiotic through the milk, though.

I took antibiotics a couple times for mastitis. No problems with supply.
