Aw bummer. Any chance LO is allergic to something you used while cooking the fish?
I think there is definitely the potential for outgrowing any allergies.

We love fish here as well, so I feel your pain!

LO2 is allergic to fish and shrimp (along with a big list of other food allergies). I noticed him breaking out after eating fish (salmon specifically) and couldn't handle fish sauce. We had him recently tested for salmon, and his blood work showed that he was not allergic. He can eat small bites of it without any issues, but he still breaks out when he eats more than a few bites. I only cook with salt, pepper, and olive oil.

In regards to food allergies, kids can outgrow them. LO1 is allergic to milk and eggs and currently outgrowing both. He can now tolerate both in baked form. He technically passed his egg challenge and able to eat eggs in all forms. He doesn't feel great after eating it though, so we try to limit it for his comfort.
