@MrsMccarthy: Oh honey, it breaks my heart that all that weaning isn't working yet for you! I know that it will eventually, but it sucks that you had to do that to your son and break both your hearts and it didn't have any immediate results. I really thought this cycle was it for you! Wishing you all the very best and hope to see a BFP for you soon!!

@KelLeeLeee: Ovulation won't be confirmed for another couple days of high temps, but it definitely looks like you probably did!!

I've been spending less time on the boards recently due to some work and relationship stress. But I've been following along, and I'm happy and excited for y'all with s!

I'm hoping the other April rollovers get lucky along with me this next cycle. If (and that's a big if!) I have a normal cycle, I should be o-ing sometime this week...so y'all know what I'm up to every night.

Thank you for all the congrats Now wondering...what would you ladies do? Have continued to get + on FRER, but the lines are getting fainter and fainter...which leads me to think maybe chemical? But still no bleeding (AF 6 days late). Took another digi yesterday and BFN. At this point I just want to know - am I or am I not?! I called dr this morning and they said I couldn't come in for 7-8 weeks but if I "needed" to come in early they could squeeze me in on 4/25. Given it's 4/14, that doesn't feel helpful. Any thoughts? Just keep waiting it out and testing?

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@Gigi2: have you taken the test at the same time every day? If it is a chemical you will likely start bleeding shortly (before 4/25). I'm sorry you are going through this

@Gigi2: You can go to a doc in the box and ask for a beta draw or call your PCP. I know a lot of bees have done that. I would just explain that you got several positive pregnancy tests and now have received a negative digital. You will want to see your beta levels at least doubling over a 48 hour period.

ETA: I'm so sorry you are going through this. The lines can be impacted by outside factors and I'm of the belief that the tests are mainly useful for confirming that you are pregnant (and to lean on betas or an ultrasound to confirm that it is progressing nicely). I know how miserable this whole wait and see game is, so major hugs!

  12. Gigi2

    cherry / 132 posts

@winniebee: thank you - yeah, it's been FMU every day and gotten progressively lighter. that combined with still neg on the digital makes me think probably chemical? I am officially not.good. at dealing with uncertainty!

  13. winniebee

@Gigi2: I would call your pcp or on and explain the situation and ask for a blood draw at this point then. I hate to say it does sound like it could be a chemical pregnancy

  14. Gigi2

    cherry / 132 posts

@bakerbee: thanks - maybe I should just do that so I feel like I'm doing something?

  15. LBee

    pomegranate / 3895 posts

@Gigi2: It can't hurt! If your PCP won't do it, just go to a doc in the box and say you need betas drawn. They might not know to do it again in 48 hours, so it could be on you to go to another doc in the box (or back to the same one) in 2 days. The beta number itself isn't as important as the doubling time.

@Gigi2: Awww, I'm sorry you're going through this I would call your PCP and ask them to do blood draws, as @BakerBee: suggested. My OBGYN didn't want to see me until 8 weeks, but I was able to get in with my PCP to at least confirm the pregnancy. Just explain the situation to them and I bet they'll get you in to see if those numbers are doubling. Thinking of you!!

  17. Gigi2

    cherry / 132 posts

    @bakerbee: thank you!! so helpful.

  18. LBee

    pomegranate / 3895 posts

@Gigi2: If you are 6 days late, you are ~ 5 weeks, right? You could also call around and try to find an OBGYN to see you and check for a sac, etc. I think @Mrs.Panda: did this when she had some early bleeding? She called tons of doctors offices until she found one that would do betas and a scan for her. I actually like that idea a lot too... it would also allow for it to be a documented loss (God forbid, of course, fingers crossed) which is nice in case you ever need future testing or want to be early monitored with future pregnancies.

Sorry for the plethora of thoughts.

  19. Gigi2

    cherry / 132 posts

@bakerbee: I love the thoughts, thank you. No one knows in real life yet other than DH so this is so comforting and helpful! I think I will try PCP today as he's great about getting patients right in and see what happens from there...

@Gigi2: For betas I went to my PCP but I also went to Any Lab Test Now. Go to http://www.anylabtestnow.com and see if there is one in your area. It's $49 for the beta but be sure to print out the $10 off coupon from the website to make it only $39. You will get results the next day. And yes @BakerBee: was right, I did call around during to a bunch of doctors offices but this was after I was confirmed pregnant and I started bleeding so I wanted to check if everything was okay. The only reason the OB I was going to be seeing didn't get me in because it was Friday and that is his surgery day. Best of luck to you, see if there is a clinic somewhere!

@Gigi2: hmmm, I'd go to your doctors for a blood test. FRERs are good at getting darker. If it was a wondfo I would say wondfos are weird and not to stress.

@Gigi2: Good luck, sweetie. We will be thinking of you.

@MrsMccarthy: I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. FWIW, my cycles did not regulate until the next full cycle after DD was *completely* weaned. So much wishful thinking went into the months leading up to that point, but looking back on the last 4-5 months (and my charts from that period), I realize that things were still really off until last month.

  28. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@KelLeeLeee: yup! Looks like you ovulated CD15. Good luck!

  29. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@septca: thanks honey. That helps to hear. I am still spotting over here and it's driving my crazy. Usually the most I spot is 2 days but this is the fourth day and instead of getting heavier it's gotten lighter. It's so weird and frustrating. I want to move on an hopefully have a better cycle next month. I ovulated on my usual day but my LP still seems to be a hot mess. Have no idea what this bleeding could mean but I do plan to see my OB next month. I hope you have a BFP this month!

@gigi2: I'm sorry you're dealing with all this stress and uncertainty instead of getting to be unreservedly happy and excited about your I will be thinking of you and hoping for a sticky pregnancy. In the event that this is a chemical, I hope you at least get resolution soon, and kindness and compassion from your care providers.

Oh! And a tip for your appt, "chemical pregnancy" isn't a term that medical providers usually use, and they might not even be familiar with that ttc lingo. You'll probably get on the same communication page faster by explaining that you're concerned about a very early pregnancy loss.

    Good luck tomorrow!

@MrsMccarthy: i would def test again. When I had my bfp in feb, it took me a while to test because I was spotting for a few days around 10-12 dpo and then it got lighter and then went away instead of turning into AF. @septca actually convinced me to test and it was crazy positive (like pregnancy line came up a minute faster than the control line).

  36. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@septca: @theotherstark: @littlek: @KelLeeLeee: @Tidybee: thanks! I did test again this morning and the test strip was so white I swear I heard a jimmy buffet song in the background. My body is just all kinda twisted right now. I'm sure all my stressing hasn't helped even though I will never be in the "just relax" club. Bfn would be so much less depressing without the added nonsense of another weird cycle. Soonest I can see my OB is May 14th when I assume I will be testing for cycle 5 but who knows. What a drag.

  37. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@Tidybee: I will keep testing until I see AF but I had a big ok glass of white wine and a sushi roll last night because I really do think this is just a product of my hormones or fibroids or something of the like.
