We ordered Caribbean food for dinner tonight and it took a bit of coaxing to get E to try any, but she liked it once she did.
If it were up to her she would eat chicken fingers and fries for every meal forever.

She'll try them but often takes it back out of her mouth. Tonight the kinchi went in and came right back out! She'll have no choice but to be somewhat adventurous as she gets older though.

No, she has a picky palate right now but hopefully, she'll grow out of it. We introduce her to whatever we eat but she spits it out. No 2 days are the same. She devoured her spaghetti yesterday but barely touched it for lunch today.

T eats everything. He's only rejected one food...pears. But he will eat them if they're slightly masked by something.

@Kimberlybee: that makes me think of our preschool application. Under food likes and dislikes DH wanted to write the same things in both categories! I wrote "changes daily, typical 2 year old!"

We're very lucky that DS is pretty much an omnivore, with exceptions based on mood or caprice rather than on any genuine dislike. Usually a "no! no!" turns into a "want..." quite rapidly.

They try everything but LO is timid and it takes her 20-30 to even attempt a bite. LO 2 digs in right away!

The only foods E will eat at home are ham and cheese. At a restaurant, she will also eat fries and peas. Anything different to that she will just push away.... including cake and chocolate! It took until day 8 of her advent calendar for her to try the chocolate and now she points at her calendar and demands the chocolate, popping it straight into her mouth as soon as she gets it. But will she try non-advent-cal chocolate? No way!
Its weird because she eats well for nanny and grandad and eats anything and everything at nursery!
