@pui: You are so good at keeping a list at the top of the page, I love it!!

@pui: @littlek: @Sprite: @CharityAnne: Thanks for you input, ladies. Since I'm 1DPO, I'm going to BD tonight too. BDing for me involves trying to just be more missionary style rather than, say, doggy style or something like that. I'm not trying to get nasty on here so I apologize for that. I just don't like always telling DH "hey babe, let's just do plain style tonight" or whatever it is I say or suggest. As for BDing every night, poor DH is in the midst of a high stress sheriff's academy. My postive OPK came on Monday - oh that was just conincidentally the same day DH spent 8 hours at the county coroner's office looking at, and learning about, dead bodies....Yea... no BDing that night for various and obvious reasons.

@pui: I always worry that its me that will cause you to have to update the list!! Thanks for doing it though. Its so convenient to not have to flip back and forth to see the list. Thank you from all the lazy people like me!

@pui you are seriously so good at this!
@charityanne oh my goodness, don't tempt me! AF would be due the 12th or 13th - and i think i have a 5 pack of tests, so....a couple days early couldn't hurt, right?! hahaha. it's bad if i'm making these deals with myself and it's not even august yet.

Wow this thread is already so busy, and it's not even august! Here's mine!
Cycles Trying: 2nd after m/c, started trying in March/April
Current Cycle Day: Approx 13 (had some spotting that threw off my estimate of AF start day)
Estimated Ovulation Date: 8/3?
POAS Date: TBD, approx 8/17
BD Timing: we're going every other day till FF/OPK's show ovulation, and extra that day
Anything new or extra this cycle? Starting charting and OPK's in the morning, assuming my amazon package with thermometer and OPK's is here today.
Link to your chart (if you have one and want to share): Haven't started yet!
And bonus question: What’s your favourite midnight snack? Um, nutra-grain bars? Filling enough and sweet!
We're moving in with my mom soon (moving across country so it's easier to move in with her THEN find a house), so we'd really, really like to not have to do the ttc bd-ing thing there. So lots of fingers crossed for this month! And for everyone on here!
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@lizsmith: welcome! hope the timing works out perfectly for you and you already have a little one on the way before the big move!
pomegranate / 3604 posts
@MrsMcD: yep! We try for 2-3 times a week up until AF. That way neither of us feel like baby machines.
persimmon / 1141 posts
@MrsMcD Your post made me laugh so hard! Sometimes this whole TTC business makes me realize how unromantic and demanding I can get. I think my husband feels used. It's like "drop your pants and get on me, no need to get creative here". LOL. It also made me realize that we DTD a lot less than most people do - it's weird that we have to plan it so much. Kinda sad? But neither of our sex drives are what they used to be, just the honest truth!
My POAS date is August 5 but I think I'm out. I've been temping and I've had two consecutive days of dropping temps. I'm currently 9DPO and feel really bloated with slight AF cramping / pressure in my abdomen too. I will wait it out though. Good luck to everyone else in the TWW or just starting their cycles - waiting is the worst.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@SupernovaJ: "no need to get creative here" is my sentiments exactly! Basically, TTC sex for me is anything that will allow me to just lay in bed for a few minutes afterward and not have to immediately get up and shower. Creativity often necessitates an immediate shower.
@sera_87: I totally feel you on the baby-machine feeling.
@LizSmith: Seriously??? Nutra-grain bars? At midnight you must sneak a little something else other than a healthy bar!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@MrsMcD: ha ha, I actually feel super guilty whenever I eat them, because of all the artificial colors/preservatives and sugar. I quit eating them for a long time, but when they dropped the high fructose corn syrup I couldn't resist.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@LizSmith: I guarantee you are healthier and skinnier than me.

5 pages already? I thought July was a crazy month and it's not even August yet. I love it
I'm waving my Pom Poms madly for all you POASers!! Bring on the
!

Okay am I crazy, or is this a positive OPK??
I'm only on CD10 and I did not expect to O until closer to CD14.
Screw it I'm just going to BD everyday.

Hi Everyone!
I'm brand new to the boards but super excited to have some buddies this time around since I'm sure I'm driving my husband a little bit crazy with all this TTC talk.
This is only our second month trying but if it doesn't happen this time, we will take a break next month since one of my best friends is getting married in Hawaii next May and I don't want to give birth that month! I know we'll cutting it close anyway (aka would be taking a one month old on a 9 hour flight) but what the hell! I've been charting for a few cycles now so feeling pretty familiar with myself. Hoping this is our month, but also feeling pretty confident that it will happen whenever it's supposed to happen, whenever that is.
We just moved from NYC to Philly (actually still in process of moving), got married last October in Hudson, NY and are pretty pumped to try to have a little baby now!
Cycles Trying: This is my 2nd cycle
Current Cycle Day: 9
Estimated Ovulation Date: CD15 or 8/6
POAS Date: August 17th (11dpo)
BD Timing: EOD starting CD10, then O day and the day after
Anything new or extra this cycle? I'm already taking prenatals & fish oil. Will try to drink less alcohol this cycle as last month I was on vacation during the fertile window so yeah...

And bonus question: What’s your favourite midnight snack? Lately, cookies & cream ice cream!

@pui: Looks like it to me! My fingers are so crossed for you this month!
@heybrookeashley: Welcome!
pomelo / 5000 posts
@Pui: that's a positive! It sounds like they weren't definite on your cycle dates, right? Clomid made me ovulate earlier than normal. Glad you have that positive OPK!
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@pui: that is GREAT news! I agree I would go for it every day for the next three days! Keep using OPKs too! Congratulations!
grapefruit / 4311 posts
@pui: yea that def looks positive, get at it... Good thing you started testing today!
bananas / 9899 posts
Thanks, girls... I'm a little unsure because I got positives before but then I did not O. Is it possible my batch of OPKs are faulty?
persimmon / 1141 posts
@pui: that looks positive to me. I almost second guessed myself too when mine looked like that and it was early (and also because people kept stressing the test line had to be darker - not true). I confirmed with a digital OPK and got a positive and knew for sure. So just do it!!! And keep doing it every darn day if you can.

@pui: I was going to comment and let you know that I think you are doing a fabulous job with this thread! It looks so pretty! And then I just noticed your positive OPK!! Awesome!! Good luck!

So I had a super vivid baby dream last night. Wishful thinking/tww making me crazy, or sign? haha
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
@heybrookeashley: welcome! I had a similar situation this month--I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding next April that is about a 6 hour flight away--and the bees basically all convinced me to just go for it anyway. seriously, not one person suggested avoiding for her wedding. I definitely don't want to miss it, but our family plans do take priority. we have weird circumstances on top of that--we're temporarily ldr so our timing is really iffy most months (we totally missed June, and I'm not sure our timing will be right again until November), but the chances seem so slim each month anyway, even with perfect timing, that we decided to put ourselves first.
bananas / 9229 posts
@heybrookeashley: @nana87: It's a tough decision. I'm not in the wedding but have a family member getting married around thanksgiving and it wasn't something I could miss. When we started TTC, it was hard to continue knowing I could possibly have to miss her wedding. Well, here we are August 1 and were still TTC. You never know. Some get pregnant right away, some take some time. Good luck!
watermelon / 14206 posts
@nana87: I vote sign! The night before my BFP, I dreamed that I POAS and it was soooo dark, it was ridiculous. In the same dream, my bff said it was a girl, so we'll see if that part comes true also, lol
@heybrookeashley: Welcome!! Good luck!! I drove DH nuts with the talk last year, so when I started to TTC this year, he chose to remain ignorant, and it made things a little better, lol.
@pui: That's SOOOO positive!!! Go at it!!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@pui: You are on clomid correct? I had a problem where I would get the positive OPK and not O, they would check my progesterone on day 21, my GYNO at the time (this was last year) told me that the LH might not have been long enough or the follicles mature enough, so it can happen BUT I THINK YOU ARE GOOD TO GO!!!! :)) GOOD LUCK!
nectarine / 2932 posts
@pui: Looks positive to me!
@heybrookeashley: Welcome! I'm on my second cycle also! You will love it here. The ladies here are SO helpful!
nectarine / 2932 posts
@nana87: I had a lot of those my last TWW, but it didn't turn out for me. I think it was just a product of me obsessing over TTC that it just spilled into my dreams. Fx you have better results
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
@Dandelion: aww yay!! I'm glad your POAS dream came true, and how sweet if bebe is a girl! The baby in my dream was a boy and I think dh would be in heaven if it came true
