After a series of unsuccessful FETs (2 CPs and 1 total negative) my new RE ran the autoimmune panel and something popped up in the results today. I tested positive for anticardiolipid IgM. They have to do a repeat panel since I guess these often give false positives, but the course of action suggested by the doctor would be to see a hematologist and if we get another BFP when/if we do IVF, I would be on baby aspirin and heparin throughout the pregnancy. Has anyone else dealt with this or something similar? Thank you!

I've been on baby aspirin and I think someone on this site was on heparin before proceeding with IVF or maybe continued it while doing IVF.

@bluestriped bee: I know, I think I feel good knowing that there is a possible cause and easy-ish work around, especially because she was testing for chromosomal issues as well, which would be a lot harder to deal with. Thanks! Hope all is well with you

@GreenThumb: A couple of my IVF girls have this, and have been on baby aspirin + clexane shots their pregnancies. And since being diagnosed, they had relatively easy conceptions/pregnancies. I hope it's the same for you!

I never got a concrete diagnosis as to why I had 3 MCs, but as soon as I got pregnant this time, I was put on aspirin (100mg) and heparin. The heparin was pretty much the smallest dose, once per day. I was on the heparin until 34 weeks, and the aspirin until 36. It seems to have been the miracle I needed, because my son is due any day!
And if you're worried at all, the heparin injections really aren't that bad! Best of luck!!
