I made a boob hat for a friend, and it got me thinking. I'm VERY pro-breastfeeding and all, but honestly the boob hat thing makes me uncomfortable. It seems weird that I sell them, and would never use them. Probably the whole fundamentalist upbringing, I suppose, even though I've left that behind.
Would you put your baby in a boob hat, to show breastfeeding pride?

Nope. I think the people who are really in your face about breastfeeding are just as bad as the people who are really against it.

I thought I would but when I had lo i didnt think I wanted to cause attention to myself.

Yep (I think they're so funny)! It's pretty much always hot here though so we weren't able to really use one on P. (she never wore any baby hats or beanies b/c they'd make her sweat).
I do have to say though that the acceptance & support for breastfeeding being the *standard* will be just as much of her problem/issue & the problem/issue of any sons wife if something doesn't change as it is mine now.

Thanks for the responses. I find the different views on it interesting. I have to say, I'm with @bunnylove08: I just wouldn't want to draw the attention. I'm very anti-confrontation, and I feel like this is asking for the type of negative comments I dread getting. Especially if it were on an older baby/toddler!

I think they're funny! I've never really thought of them as making a statement or anything. Just being silly :).
My LO doesn't have one, though.

@allison: Likewise! LO didn't have one but if he did wear one it'd be because I found it silly/fun and not for the sake of making a statement.
