I might be doing this all wrong, but I always pull my shirt up to nurse. I didn't think there was any other way of doing it until I saw my cousin pull her shirt down.
How do you do it?

Down It was just easier for me that way, to see what I was doing in the early days.

depends on the top, but mostly pull down. i typically only wear clothes with easy access to pull down

@beachbee: ditto this.
Though at 24 months I have reverted back to non-nursing friendly clothes when I go out so if he wants to nurse then I pull up (e.g., before I go to work in the morning)

If i wasn't wearing a nursing friendly top then I would pull my top up. I didn't want to risk stretching my top by pulling it down

@MrsStar: This. I started off always pulling down, but having to wear clothes all the time that you can do that to without stretching turns into a pain. And if you're large chested it can be trickier.

Down unless it's too tight. I should probably pull up though bc I have stretched out a few shirts doing it that way.

When I used a shirt that was DESIGNED for nursing, it was always pull down, but I mostly wore my own tshirts, and it was much easier to pull up, besides, it gave a little shield keeping people to look at my boobs, lol.

I always wore a tank and a shirt so the shirt went up and the tank pulled down.

top up, tank down. I like the tank because it hides postpartum belly, and the top up because I can wear just any old shirt.

down, except I'm stretching out all my tops. But top up isn't an option, and all I typically wear is a tank anyway so....

I wore a lot of nursing tanks and flowy cardigans.

If I can pull it down, I'll do that. It helps to boost up my boob as well or else LO can't latch in too well. Plus I always feel like I'm suffocating her. I may nend to do this tank top underneath thing though, that's a good idea. I need more clothes

Both. It's just easier to wear the Cami to pull down and then you don't have to worry about the top

I always pull my top up - I don't think I've ever pulled down! I never wear nursing tanks or tops though, just normal ones and I don't even see how any of them really could be pulled down...
@babyboecksmom: if you're doing it wrong, so am I!

I almost always wore nursing tanks, so shirt up, tank down. Or usually a button down.

I pull my shirt up. It feels weird to me to pull it down. I can be more discreet pulling my shirt up.

It depends on the shirt, but now it's mostly pull up unless I am wearing a nursing top.

@BabyBoecksMom: I have been living in v neck t shirts, it's all I wear, def only pull down.

Depends on the shirt! Some shirts I didn't want to stretch out the neckline to nurse, so I'd make sure I wore a nursing tank underneath so I could pull up. But I had a few loose or elastic neckline shirts I wouldpull down and it was so much easier

I like to pull down so I don't have a bunch of fabric around their faces. But if I'm in public or someone else's house, I usually pull up, or layer so I pull up my shirt and down my nursing tank and no flabby tummy skin is revealed.
