For those of you that have taken clomid, did you doctor use ultrasound monitoring and to give you the heads up on the number of follicules and possibility of multiples?

Hi. Yes I'm on my 4th round of clomid. I always get an internal u/s a day or 2before I typically O. I'm sitting at 5dpo with a good follicle in each side.

How exciting!
The only reason I ask is to see if this is par for the course. I know I would want to know if there are more than two, but my gyno doesn't have an ultrasound machine in her office (have to go to a lab) and doesn't seem to think it is necessary. I think I may insist or find a new dr!!

Yeah I just like the piece of mind that comes along with it.. I would definitely try to get it done.

I asked my RE about the possibility of doing an unmonitored Clomid cycle, and he was very much against it due to the risks of OHSS and multiples.

Yep, I go in every month for ultra sounds!
