I do too! She makes eye contact when i feed her a bottle, its quite special. When she nurses, she is looking at my boob.

That's so sweet!

I don't like giving a bottle, only because it means I have to pump, which I don't like doing!! But the couple times I have had to give a bottle, I did enjoy being able to make eye contact easily while we did it.

@winniebee: I am 7 weeks in and breastfeeding is going well this time, but I miss giving bottles. I miss knowing that his/her tummy is full. I miss being able to focus on those sweet faces. I hate that nursing takes SO LONG and then when I think we are done, she wants to eat again 15 minutes later. Maybe this is just a newborn thing, but I don't remember this at all from when I was EPing with my first.

I only breastfed both my boys for a very short time, but I liked bottles. For me it was less stressful and I could relax and enjoy them. I focused on them instead of the latch, pain, amount of time it was taking, etc.

While I certainly hated pumping, I found bottle feeding so much more enjoyable than breast feeding. I didn't get any bond from breastfeeding and got a much better bond from looking into LO's eyes as I fed him and studying his sweet little face. I may be outside the norm, but I preferred bottle feeding any day over breastfeeding.

@winniebee: I bottle fed my daughter and enjoyed it too. I did have bf guilt (only pumped a little while) but I never really felt sad that she loved her bottles so much and didn't love my boobs.

Totally agree! I have done both and when the baby nursed I felt like she was so boob-focused. Love the eye contact that came with bottle feeding. It was so sweet.

Omg I hated pumping so much that I was a complete Scrooge about bottles. But I pumped about half the time until my son was eight weeks old because I had a lot of nipple pain. Once that subsided I don't think I ever fed him a bottle again.
