No baby on the outside yet, but I got to 9 3/4 cm late last night with back labor. NOT RECOMMENDED!!! I can't believe the intensity and I'm so proud of myself for getting that far. I pushed 7 times and had no energy or mental stamina for any more. Lots of tears and near-constant screaming/howling after my water broke on its own at 5 pm.
Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, my epidural slowed down the contractions (which at one point were quadruple back to back) so we are hopefully only an hour or two away from baby this morning.

@aprk: Ugh, I had back labor! It was horrible! And I was the same as you - crying, yelling, moaning. And pushing was so rough - I didn't feel like I had the energy. I'm jealous you got an epidural, but bummer it slowed things down! You're almost there though!!!

Epidural wore off minutes before I started pushing this morning. Two hours of pushing, sunny aide up, pushing on my sciatic nerve. AWFUL!!!
But he's here!!!!!

@aprk: congratulations!!! i had the same epi/pushing experience, just fyi - i ended up with an episiotomy too and still recovered really well and quickly! ENJOY THE NB SNUGGLES WITH YOUR LIL MAN!
