DS is 14 months and in a toddler room at daycare. We send all his food with him, enough for morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. We were asked yesterday to send more food with him because when the toddler rooms merge at the end of the day, the other room has a later snack.

I find this a little annoying because I don't understand why they don't have snack time at the same time for both rooms. I was told the other toddler room likes to snack a lot (WTF?) and if I understood right they have kids that stay later and so they eat a 2nd snack at 4:30/4:45. DH picks up at 5. When DS sees the other kids eating, of course he wants to eat too.

Is this normal? I feel really annoyed by it. Do I send another snack? Which of course is more work and more expense. The other option is to let him eat school food, which would be like ritz crackers or something. I'm not a fan of feeding him crackers every single day though.
