I'm 6 weeks post c-section and will be seeing my OB today and I assume I'll be cleared to have sex again. but now that i am breastfeeding my boobs are always leaking milk or feeling tender, i'm wondering how thats going to affect things in the bedroom.

Yep, it's mostly on my end. It happened the whole time I was nursing my twins and again with my daughter. I just dont feel sexy. My husband doesn't seem to care but I am so self conscious about it I can rarely enjoy myself. I cant stand my breasts to be touched at all right after I have been nursing. My husband just doesn't understand that I have had someone sucking on me four hours during the day and I just don't want my chest to be touched anymore. As soon as I stop nursing it goes back to normal.

Yea mine are bigger too... but due to all the leaking and stuff it just doesnt feel sexy

I kept my sport nursing bra on at all times, nursing pads and all.
All the way until after we weaned and I dried up completely.

Breast feeding didn't affect our love life very much. Dh just had to stay away from my boobs
he knows they're off limits for at least the next 1.5 years and he's okay with it!

Not really romantic to plan ahead, but I usually pump as much as possible before having some fun. I also wasn't ready for that stuff until 8-9 weeks pp, but I didn't have a c-section, hopefully it is easier for you sooner.
Right now the best time is at bedtime- we are both in the same room, the baby is asleep, I've pumped so I won't spray my poor husband, and if the planets align and one of us doesn't fall asleep the second our heads hit the pillow, all engines are go...
I didn't feel as attractive, but my husband never seemed to mind, and was just grateful not to have me snoring away
If you put on a pretty bra, it can help- you still get support and it looks nice.

DH never minded, and we just mainly kept a respectful distance from the working girls, so to speak. After a few months (esp. when I went back to work and was pumping most of the day instead of nursing) and my boobs were less sore, it became more or less a non-issue.

I don't allow dh to touch them. Lol. They don't leak but they are tender and full a lot if the time!

lol I never let him touch them. ever. I hate it now. I have a baby touching them every two hours for 20 minutes at a time lol

Boobs aren't an issue, but my libido is definitely still down at 12 weeks post-partum. Had a big spike for a few weeks after delivery, but dropped once the milk fully came in. That's been no fun, considering I had a very happy libido before!

I keep my bra on when we have sex (nursing pads and all); it hasn't slowed us down at all though!

Haha I'm not even breastfeeding yet, and I do it with the coobie bra and bra pads. So sexy. DH is so mad because he's a total boob guy...he doesn't get that it HURTS! I'm terrified of what's going to go down while I'm breastfeeding!

At first I always kept a bra on, but now my supply seems to have leveled off and I'm not as worried about leaking or soreness, so sometimes I get crazy and take my bra off. Wild!

I think me staying up to pump & waking early to pump may have somewhat, especially early on, but breastfeeding did not. My DH just knew to stay away or procede with caution! You could try a sexy nursing bra, like Hot Milk which I've used, it helps me feel sexy & you can always leave the bra on if you'll be more comfortable that way. Good luck!

Between the flabby belly, lack of sleep, and leaky boobs I feel so unsexy. I'm only 2 weeks pp so maybe it'll get better but for now I feel like I'll never get my sexy back.

I'm 6 months pp and even though I'm almost at my prepregnancy weight I still feel gross. And with all the breastfeeding? It takes a LOT to get me in the mood...

Thanks guys for all the responses, I dont even have a nursing bra I usually just wear a tank top or tshirt and the i stick the nursing pads in there... we'll see how it goes!!
