nope but did it very gradually and by 18 months I doubt I was producing much.

@hellobeeboston: When did you start process? DD is 9.5 months and I'd like her weaned by the time she is 1 years old.

No, it was very gradual. I started dropping pump sessions at 11 months, she dropped her night nursing session at 14 months, and we completely weaned at 21 months.

Nope. Like others mentioned, it was gradual so it wasn't bad. The discomfort from the engorgement was there the first week, but it went away after that.

No, like others, we did it very gradual over 6 weeks for LO1 and 2 months for LO2. I just started dropping a feed a day here and there. The last feed we cut out was the going to bed feed.

no it was gradual. we were down to a couple of nights per week before i completely weaned.

No- and again, really gradual. She started dropping feeds on her own, and was down to just one feed a day for probably a month before she totally weaned at 20 months. I never had any issues (though I did get pregnant at the same time).

If I wean now I know I won't have any issue b/c my supply is so low

I had to wean because I got sick and had to take a bunch of non- bf safe meds. It's been almost a month and I am still on the mess and have basically dried up (for the most part) I just had to stop so for the first week I pumped 3x per day, second week 1x then just stopped.

@BandDmommy: I never got an email response to this! Weird.
Let see. I was pumping 3x a day (WOH) from 3 months to probably 6/7 months, then cut to 2x, then 1x all while nursing morning and evening. Somewhere in there I just quit the 2am feed which I realized was just out of habit. I had to start supplementing with formula too since my supply started to tank when I went down to 1x a day. I would have stuck to morning/evening nursing longer but supply really dropped after I wasn't pumping at all, so that phased out after a couple of weeks. I was totally done by 10.5 months or so.

I thought I did it very gradually but I still got a clogged duct at the end.

Ours wasn't gradual (LO self-weaned, and he was exclusively on breast milk at the time) and I didn't have any issues either. I think I pumped for about a week, 3x a day, but other than a bit of engorgement and soreness, it wasn't bad at all.

We have pretty much weaned all day feedings so I just see our 1 feeding before bed since she nurses to sleep being a hard on, but then again she adapts to change pretty well

@BandDmommy: I'm worried about this I've had plugged ducts a couple times a week for the majority of the time I've been nursing J. It feels like it will be impossible to wean him without complications.
I hope you're feeling better!

@MrsF: same here! She isn't taking as much either so that doesn't help. My mom wants me to wean her so I stop getting sick.

Nope. I pump weaned gradually around 12 months and then DS self weaned for morning/night feedings around 12.5 months. There was a bit of engorgement but nothing too uncomfortable.
