My period came back 9months PP as well. I didn't notice a drop in supply (though I don't pump so I couldn't tell you for sure). I did fight through a nasty cold and LO nursed like crazy. I'm not sure if it was because she was sick and feeling needy or because I had less milk, but now 2 weeks later we're back to normal.

hmm that might have contributed to it -
DS started sleeping through the night at 9 months, just before my first AF, around this time I wasn't pumping hardly anything and eventually gave up pumping during the day and just BF in the early morning and again before bed.

yes, def took a hit during my period. Try adding calcium+magnesium tablets (together in one single capsule, not separately) daily. My LC told me to do that when AF came back and it DEFINITELY helped. I took these ones http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2678286
