My LO is down to 1-2 nursing sessions a day and I wouldn't be sad if today was the last day. I know it's not difficult but it can be exhausting. We had trouble leaving her because she wouldn't sleep well without nursing. I didn't plan on weaning this soon but she is 1 so I figured, why not? She doesn't seem to care too much and I hope within 2 weeks we are done completely.

Yeah. LO lost interest in breastfeeding at 10 months. We were only nursing morning and night and he was getting formula throughout the day. My heart just wasn't into starting to pump again at that point to possibly get us over the hump. Sometimes I get sad when I think about it, but it was on his terms so I guess I should be happy about that.

We are only at 4m but I have no idea how long we will go. My first I only made it to 6w so for a long time with this one I just took it day by day. Now I feel like I'm taking it month by month and hope to get to 6m. After that, it's bonus time

I'm kind of jealous. I never had a planned date for weaning, I just figured I'd follow LO's lead. At 16 months, she's more attached to the boob than ever and I don't see her losing interest anytime soon...but I'd be happy to be done anytime she is!

Yep with LO2. Weaned around 6 months - I miss the convenience but not much else. Everyone is much happier and getting a lot more sleep.

Nope! I'm the first person in my family to BF so I was pleasantly surprised we made it to 1 year! I weaned then since the pedi said nutritionally, it wasn't worth it and it was nice not having to pump anymore!

I had chronic low supply ... by the end, she was just comfort nursing. She nursed the morning of her 1st birthday for the last time. It was both liberating and heartbreaking ... I planned to nurse as long as she wanted to (which I assumed would be around 2-3).
