I had such a rough start to breast feeding with my LO because my milk came in so late. I kept blaming myself because I couldn't provide BM for LO and I stressed out over supplementing with formula and using bottles.
I hope I am more relaxed for Baby 2!

I think I will probably be a psycho about it next time. We had so many issues and had to give up so early on this time that I will probably be a complete mental case.
Either that or I will bottle feed from birth, lol. Depends on if I feel up to putting myself through it again, knowing how hard the failure hit me this time.

i didn't worry too much because i ended up exclusively pumping with charlie and knew that was an option in case i struggled the second time around. but i'm so glad that it ended up working out because i don't know how i'd find the time to pump with 2 kids!
i don't think i did anything too different.... charlie just had a hard time nursing while olive took to it like a champ.

i only worry that my next baby won't be so easy to breastfeed. Before he was born and i took the classes, i worried about everything that could go wrong (mostly getting the latch and position).

I think I will be more proactive--have Lo examined for a to hue tie in the hospital, meet with an LC within the first few days of being at home, and hopefully enjoy it more from the beginning!

Nope, I wasn't worried at all this time around, but it was easy for me with ds, and we nursed til he was 15 months old.
Now that my milk is in, and it's crazy abundant like it was with ds, also, I won't worry about it if I try for a third kid, either.

OMG breastfeeding has been so much easier this time around. Night and day difference. I think knowing how hard it can be helped me out a lot.

I think about this a lot, I think about if I even want to bf the 2nd time. I will, but not sure if I will for more of less than this time (4m), we will have to see how it goes!

I'm sure you will be more relaxed, and chances are that your milk come in sooner too. My milk was in by the end of my hospital stay (48 hr) with #2, although that could be related to my being induced for #1. I also knew what advice I could ignore (like hospital pushing formula on me), etc. Night and day difference. You will be great!

I was really worried about it the second time, since it didn't work well with #1. There was no HB for support then either! I had Kellymom and a local bf'ing group, but I could barely attend because I had my toddler with me on the days they met 
But thankfully, after Day 2, DD2 and I got the hang of it and we haven't stopped since (20 months later)! I'm pretty sure you'll do just fine!

Honestly, when I first found out I couldn't BF I was totally heartbroken, stressed, and felt guilty all the time. Time & experience have changed me & my perspective so much. In the beginning I felt so much pressure to BF that I cried about it everyday. Breastfeeding meant so much to me before S was born, but oh how things have changed! Now I'm planning on skipping BFing & going straight to formula for all my babes. I've learned that formula is what works for us & that's okay!

I really hope I'm more relaxed the next time. I would like to be able to breastfeed Baby 2 since it didn't really work out with the first, but if it doesn't work out I won't beat myself up about it. As time goes on and LO is happy, healthy and perfectly bonded with me on formula, I can see that my stress over not being able to BF was a waste of time and energy.

I didn't worry about it at all since I planned on formula.feeding #2 from the very beginning. 
It ended up working out just according to plan!

As long as the connective tissue in my (previously flat) nipples remains broken down (S really worked to stretch and break it down so my nipples could protrude) things will be much easier, and I can probably avoid the shells and shields I wore with S for the first few weeks. My attitude towards breastfeeding (my ultimate goal) and formula supplementing (totally open to using formula as needed for medical reasons) hasn't changed a bit.

I still have a while to go, but I'm nervous about BFing baby number two. I tried to with DS and it didn't work out. I beat myself up about it so much. I really hope it's easier this time around.
