We are kinda encouraging weaning. First I we cut back to just morning/night nursing. Then it was just nursing before bed. Now if she asks for it I say, "No its not night night time yet".

I think I'm a little of both. I started adding whole milk into DD's pumped milk bottles at around 11.5 months because I wasn't pumping enough during the day and didn't want to deplete my freezer stash just to be able to EBF - hoping the mixing will allow her to have BM longer. DD still nurses on the weekend and I let her dictate how much she wants. Sometimes she will go a more than 3-4 hours and only drink a little, but some days she still has a full meal from it. We feed her a solid 3 meals and 2 small snacks everyday and I'm letting her lead the way. My goal is to go to only bottles during the day (mix or just whole milk when my freezer stash runs out after I quit pumping in a couple weeks) but continuing to nurse in the morning and bedtime until she drops those on her own.

I would always offer the same (however, I have worked full time since 7 weeks PP, so he was getting bottles of pumped milk during the day). I would nurse morning, on my lunch break and when I got home and before bed. And any time he woke up during the night.
He stopped the lunchtime nursing session first. Then started sleeping in longer stretches. Then he wasn't waking up so early that I could nurse him before work. And then started refusing to nurse before bed. That one was the last to go. I kept offering for about a week but he kept turning his head, wiggling out of my arms, etc. He was 11 months when we stopped completely.

I weaned at 9 months. I wasn't producing a lot of milk!
