We had a blast giving A her first food yesterday, and she loved the experience, but wow did she pull some funny faces at the taste of it! It didn't stop her shoving it in her mouth, but I think it's fair to say she didn't love the taste. Is that normal? We have hilarious video footage of her pulling "ewwww" faces, ha ha.

I think she probably thought it was interesting, but most of it just dribbled down her chin at first. It took almost a month for me to feel like she was actually eating. Now at 7 months she scarfs it down and complains loudly if I'm not fast enough with the spoon.

My dd made the funniest faces, but overall enjoyed her first taste of solids!

Oh yes. He loved solids from the get go.

Nope. He didn't like rice cereal to start. Once we started adding different purees, he liked it.

He has made a funny face and even shivered with disgust at the first taste of most of his foods...by the 2nd or 3rd time, he's eating with gusto. I think it just takes time to get used to it!

LOL we're starting in a couple of weeks! I can't wait to see their expressions!

Yes, she liked the watermelon my MIL gave her but she wasn't a huge fan of sweet potatoes and bananas.

Not at all. It took several weeks for her to enjoy solids... Like, 6!

LO HATED rice cereal at first. We actually took a break from solids for a few weeks before starting again with sweet potatoes. He loved those from the get-go!
