I'm mortified and proud at the same time haha. Last night, DD1 was playing dolls with my MIL. She was giving her a bottle, stopped, lifted her shirt and said "she doesn't need a bottle, she needs a boobie" and proceeds to nurse her doll. I guess I shouldn't expect anything else since the baby won't take bottles right now so that's all my oldest sees.
Did your child ever do that?

Haha, I hope that will happen. I think it is good for them to think of it as a natural thing at that age... help break the stigma.

Yes! My DD would lift up her shirt and put her doll there. She would also imitate pump noises. ER er Er er Er er

Oh yes! In fact she told me once she was feeding her baby strawberry milk.... DS#1 hasn't done it yet though....

my four year old son pretended to nurse his stuffed curious george. he also told a male cashier at Target that "our baby drinks milk from my mum mum's breasts". ha ha

I hope that S does this when his baby brother/sister is here. I want him to see it as a normal, natural, nuturing thing to do.

My boy is a year and a half and he's been loving on a baby doll for several months now. He likes to feed it a bottle, because he "helped" feed the little infants bottles at daycare when he was the oldest one in the room. However, whenever he wants *me* to feed the baby, I need to nurse it!

Haha that's great, not that long ago I was checking on my oldest during her nap to make sure she was sleeping and she was sitting in bed with my nursing bra on nursing a stuffed bear. One of my favorite memories

@mrskc: I really wish I had bought DS a doll before DD arrived. I think it would have been nice, especially the first few weeks.

Yes, DD 1 does it all the time. She also takes my nursing cover out of my bag to use.
