LO's day care put up a sign letting parents know about a 9am Halloween costume party. I'll send or pack LO's costume but I don't really see the point in attending the "party". I think I would go to a preschool party but LO is 8 months, the oldest kids at the daycare are 18 months or so.
Do you attend day care parties? Are they popular at your daycare? Should I take off work to go?

I do. But only because I like seeing my daughter interact with her friends. And for the pics!

I would totally attend if my daycare hosted a Halloween party. I love interacting with the other kids and seeing them in their costumes.

DD's daycare Halloween party is Friday at 1:30, so I totally took a half day at work!

I only attend the parades for 4th of july and the fall festival parade. Other than that I don't have time for all of the "events" at daycare.

I attend, but only for a bit. Enough time to chat with parents, take pictures and play a little.
My daycare ladies have mentioned that some of the kids have a tendency to act up when their parents are there, and they sometimes discourage attendance.

I try, but it seems that we have missed a few parties (4pm Friday) because we have been traveling.

No, I always had to work, but sometimes they had special breakfasts so DH stayed longer after drop off to attend if he could.

At 9 am, no I wouldn't go.
However our school does them at 3:30pm - so I do go. That way I can take an of leave and then take the kids home after the party - works out great!

No, I only do the fall festival, etc since it's the whole daycare or her daycare birthday party.

They haven't had any yet. But I am going to try for the Halloween. Cause I want to see all the kids in the costumes. All depends on when the party is.

My LO just started daycare a couple of weeks ago (she is 13 months), but her fall party was yesterday (costumes, a Halloween singing concert (performed by the older kids just for the wee ones, and a mini cupcake back in the classroom). I got to meet several parents (which was really nice), and I got to see LO in her costume for the first time. I am so so glad I was able to go.

No. It's 25 minutes from my work and I would be docked PTO for going. I'm feeling a little bitter this morning, sorry.
