This started for me last night....ouch!

Yes, I have - or actually DURING sometimes. First time it was Thrush. But since then, I think it's just some random pains once in awhile.

@shopaholic: How did you know it was thrush, what should I look for?

@autumnlove: It was terribly sharp, shooting pains. That kind of lingered. Our ped thought it was thrush because of K's lips. Though neither of us ever had the white, yeasty telltale signs of thrush. I had really badly cracked nipples though, so I could imagine getting something.

I did!! At first it was random, like maybe once a day. Then it started several times each nursing session. My Dr. thought it was a yeast infection in my breast!? There was no way to verify it, so she gave me some medication that I took (I think it was two or three pills total), and then it was gone.

@shopaholic: That kind of sounds like my situation. No signs of thrush, but awful lingering pain

@swurlygurl: The yeast infection in the breast is the same as Thrush.

@shopaholic: That's what I thought, but wasn't sure. I am SO thankful DD never got thrush-mouth. My nephew got it, and it was a PITA to get rid of

@autumnlove: yes! Where do you get the pains? I've had shooting pains in between my breasts (breast bone?). Google hasn't given me any answers...it's particularly bad when I'm engorged.

@Ginger333: were you able to do anything to help?? i think i had that too for LO#1 and I could never figure out what to do to help. Eventually i stopped nursing around 7mths and so did the spasms.... LO#2 is on his way like, this week, so i'm hoping to avoid this again! soooooo painful!

@Tysonja - I got a script for Nifedipine (after trying a ton of "natural" remedies) and it cleared right up.
