I am planning to give a small gift to my son's preschool teachers for Christmas, but I was wondering if anyone gives a gift to the principal? She's very friendly and I like her a lot, so I was thinking about getting her something small too. But then if I give her a gift, does that mean I should also give something to the assistant principal and the other office lady? I'm not sure where to draw the line.

I would do a food tray and give it to all of them

I get gifts for my boys’ daycare teachers, then I got a large tray of chocolates for the lunch room for all of the aides, etc, who aren’t directly responsible but who do interact with them.

I do a small gift to our director and AD (like nice hand lotion, or soap).
I also do bagels for the whole center. (30 teachers/staff)

I did as a last minute realization. It was kind of a lot but I’m in NYC where you have to kiss ass in preschool. So annoying. I really hope we get into universal pre-k next year. It will alleviate so much stress and money.
And yeah that made me think of all the other staff. In total:
- principal
- 2/3s coordinator
- assistant principal
- receptionist (2)
- janitors (2)Teachers were covered by the parents slush fund as a group gift.
