My go to person is my mom. She can almost always be there. If she can't for some reason I will ask my MIL and/or FIL. They own their own business so for emergencies they can usually come, but they're farther away. If all else fails DH will take off work.

I had a 102 degree fever yesterday and no one to watch LO. -
If it was a true emergency, like when I went to the ER, we called our BIL who lives 10 min away. Otherwise, DH and I have been able to handle things between the two of us.

We do have an emergency babysitter. We've only ever needed her twice. She's awesome. But, she's the only non-family member sitter we've ever used.

Friends. I know they would take LO anytime we ever needed it.

My sister is our go to babysitter. I'm at a loss when she is in school though. My parents are retired and stay at home all day, but I don't trust them watching my LO. Sometimes FIL works night shift and can watch LO during the day on case of an emergency.

The order would be: my parents, in-laws, my brother, aunt-in-law, or close friends who live up the street. I guess we are lucky to have so many options that we trust!

We live in the same city as our families, so we have a lot of resources if we were in a pinch. I would first call my parents, then my in-laws, followed by DH's siblings.

My parents. They are seriously awesome, there is no way I could work like I do without them being so close and able bodied.
