I'm dealing with primary infertility... trying to conceive my first child.

Interesting thread. We have been trying for 6 months plus with a m/c for our second. Our first was a surprise so we weren't expecting it to take so long to TTC our second. I still don't consider us anywhere near the IF level though. I do know my mom and my best friend had to use clomid for their second.

We had primary infertility as we needed IVF to conceive our first. I'm assuming we will have secondary infertility as well but that's out of my hands at the moment.

Had primary, took IVF to get pregnant...currently expecting now.

Had primary and currently dealing with secondary. We will see if I do end up getting pregnant without any help.

we had primary and used intervention to conceive our first. we are now dealing with secondary but haven't started any intervention yet. we will give it a few more months.

Technically secondary infertility is when you have conceived your first without any medical interventions but cannot conceive your second. So if you have primary infertility, it is still primary infertility when you try to conceive again. Just thought I would clear that up.

So what's the name for having IF for, at least, two children?

I dealt with primary infertility, we will start TTC in the late summer/early fall for LO #2, and we will see how that goes.
