I just baked up a fresh batch and they're delicious, but DH is too scared of lactating to try one, lol. Seriously, he knows it wouldn't happen (they're good but not THAT good), but he still won't eat one.
Do you share yours?

Haha funny story...my aunt made some for me and I brought them home and set them on the counter and went to bed. I woke up in the morning and there was only ONE left...I looked at DH holding the bag and asked if he ate them, he said yeah they were so good! I laughed and told him they were lactation cookies. He goes well I haven't pooped yet... (he thought laxative). I then explained they were LACTATION cookies and he goes oh my gosh they had aunts breast milk in them, don't tell anyone I ate those! I assured him there was no breast milk in them Haha oh boy...men!

If you call them a cookie in our house, they're gonna get eaten

@PurpleUnicorn: you can find several different recipes on the web but they're basically chocolate chip cookies with oatmeal, flaxseed and brewer's yeast added to the recipe.
DH has reluctantly admitted that they're pretty tasty...

@Bao: best story ever!
My husband will eat them cautiously though.

@PurpleUnicorn: Hey lady, how are you doing? I was wondering where you disappeared to! Are you still on mat leave? they're meant to help increase milk supply with key ingredients like brewers yeast, oatmeal, flax seed meal etc . Rather tasty actually.
:@blackbird: ha ha, he had one in the end and liked it so much he had three more. Now he's hoping he doesn't start lactating in the night

I made some and took them to work to share. No spontaneous lactation! In fact, I didn't notice a change in my supply. But they were delicious!.

No but mainly because he doesn't like oatmeal cookies of any kind. DD loves them

@travelgirl1: Some people received that privileged info, like the nurses in the infirmary where I pump. Office mates just saw cookies Now you're making me want some, but I'm on Weight Watchers

@sloaneandpuffy: Ha ha this thread is making me laugh so much, all these people unknowingly guzzling lactation treats : )
OMG I dread to think how many points they are.....as an aside do you still nurse? Has WW affected supply? I really want to try lose some baby weight (I put on a TON) but am worried about supply.

@travelgirl1: Yes! Still nursing and pumping strong and don't plan to slow down until a year, God willing. WW has been AMAZING because you get like A MILLION POINTS (I get 40ish per day) when you're EBF. I have lost 12.5 lbs since New Year's. No supply issues so far!

@sloaneandpuffy: That's great to know, thank you! Might look into that then!

@sloaneandpuffy: Sorry, one more question: Can you add your own recipes rather than use theirs?
grapefruit / 4120 posts
@travelgirl1: They have a tool called "recipe builder" which I have never used but it appears to be a way to enter a recipe, number of servings, etc. and get the point total. I am using the online version of WW (no meetings) and it's there in the online application.
