Yup, she's addicted to these Kind snack bars. She knows I keep them in the pantry. So she goes to open the pantry despite the handle being up high and grabs a bar then comes to me. Or she will point at the upper cabinet where we keep a tub of mixed nuts. She also knows where we keep the Kefir and goes to the mini fridge for them.

Yep. But, he's 6. I have a variety of snacks that are easily accessible to him and he knows the limits on snacking.

Yes! We have two cupboards and he makes a beeline for them as soon as we get home from daycare. It's hilarious when he pulls out a giant box of cheddar bunnies or applesauce! Or a giant a bag of doritos .

Yes, I keep her snacks low in the pantry. I like to know that she wouldn't starve in case anything happened to me.

Yes we had to put a child lock on our lower cuppoard because she would always go in and help herself to graham crackers!

Yes! We have a drink fridge in the island in our kitchen and I keep water bottles on the bottom shelf. Well every time she's thirsty she gets out a bottle and brings it to me. I've started keeping her sippy cups full of water and milk in there to see if that will save me some half full water bottles everywhere. She also knows that all the good things come from the pantry.

He knows his snacks are in a cabinet(too high for him to reach) and will Stand in front of it, pointing to it when he wants something.

Yes she knows which cabinet is hers so she tries pulling on it to get her snacks. She also goes to her highchair when she's hungry and will just stand by it.

Yes, he'll grab empty boxes from the recycle bin or he walks into the kitchen and yells, "mmmmm, nom, nom, nom!" For a while we kept snack bind in the bottom of the pantry, but I've been too lazy to keep them filled.

She used to...then I moved everything to the highest shelves in the pantry. We have three empty shelves on the door that I don't put anything on because she will want anything that is there.
If she really wants something, she will bang on the door, go "Ah! Ah! Ah!" and then point.

Yup! She figured it out when she was about a year old and would point to the pantry whenever she wanted a snack. Now she just opens the door and helps herself to whatever she wants, so I keep healthy snacks accessible to her and the goodies hidden towards the back.

Yep! My 4 y.o. goes to one of two places depending on what he wants. And he only knows b/c that's where I go when he asks for snacks which is ALL DAY LONG! Boys sure do eat a lot!

@mrs. wagon: OMG it's my fave feature of our kitchen update. DH and I happily agreed to give up storage space to fit that puppy in. Fully stocked with wine, beer, water, and protein shakes right at this very moment.

Yes. We have a set of drawers that holds all her snacks, cups, bowls and plates. She grabs a snack if she wants it.

Yepp. He'll walk straight to the pantry and point at the door. He also knows milk is in the fridge and goes to his highchair when I tell him its time for breakfast/lunch/dinner.

Yeah, we have a fruit bowl stocked on the table at all times. She just climbs up and helps herself.

Every time we're in the car, she'll say "backpack" over and over because she knows we keep snacks for the ride home in there.
