LO's class has 4 pets: a turtle, a bird, a guinea pig and fish. It's like a pet store in there 
I think it's really cool though that they have so many pets for the kids to help take care of!

Preschool was on the grounds of a nature center, so they had animal visitors, but not classroom pets.
Now, the classroom is too small, no room!

LO1's kindergarten classroom doesn't have any pets. LO2's preschool has a guinea pig and fish. It's really fun for the kids to watch and help take care of the pets.

They have a pet dinosaur (stuffed stegasaurus) that they feed Swedish fish!

Her daycare class has hermit crabs. She also goes to a different preschool once a week, and last year they had fish in the classroom...school hasn't started yet this year so I don't know what her new classroom will have but the older kids have a bunny so I'm assuming this class will also have some sort or critter.

No, but he's only 2 so I don't think they have mastered "gentle hands" on any living beings enough to have one!

DS does not have a class pet, but I had a tarantula in my class a few years ago, and last year we had geckos (parents owned a reptile farm so they provided us with everything).
