I am transitioning my mindset about BFing from trying desperately to EBF to wanting to preserve a happy BFing relationship for both of us.

Right now I have about a 50-60% supply. We nurse every 3 hours during the day for at least 20 minutes on each side & then I offer a bottle, which she usually drinks all of. In the morning I have the most milk & she nurses great. Throughout the day my supply diminishes & so does her desire to nurse. I have been fighting with her for lack of a better description to get her to nurse as much as possible before I give her the bottle. However, I am starting to think I want to just offer the breast, and if she's not into it, go straight to the bottle.

I know this is a slippery slope into drying up and honestly I am okay with that. I'd rather us both enjoy nursing while it lasts. Of course, I worry it wouldn't last long at all if we stop nursing frequently. I'm hoping some of you have some experience with this? Is it really much different than, say, a baby that eats solids and doesn't nurse as much? I'm hoping that's how my body would see it and adjust accordingly.
