I just had my eggs retrieved today 12/6/17. I am in a good amount of discomfort right now. Did anyone feel good enough the very next day to return to work?

I think I recall taking the next day or two off. I felt terrrrrrrible after the first retrieval. Good luck. The discomfort will hopefully pass soon. Maybe wait until the morning and see how you feel.

I was fine to go to work the next day both time I had an egg retrieval, although after the first one, I do remember being at work and getting a spasm of pain so bad I had to crouch down and I was wondering how I would make it through the day. It passed relatively quickly though. The second time through I had no issues. If the pain is persistent, I would let your doctor know.

I was fine to go back the next day - I was actually probably fine to go back the same day but I took it off to sleep off the anesthesia. Everyone is different though! Do you have a heating pad? I found that helpful.

I was able to go back the next day as well. Drink a lot of liquids, including gatorade. It will help prevent OHSS. How many did you get??

I went back the next day, I agree with the Gatorade it helped with the bloating!

Agree on gatorade, and when you are sick of that - smart water (with electrolytes)!

Yes I would have been fine. I took an extra day though just because I wanted to be sure.

Yes, I felt fine to resume normal activity immediately 7 of 8 times. Only once when I had mild ohss I was unwell (but I still went to work cause I didn't want to waste time off sitting on my couch. I have a desk job so I figured if I can sit at home, I can sit at work).

Hey, I experienced a bit of pain after my egg retrieval process. In fact, I was quite sore for the next 48 hours. I could not drive back to my work and had to take leave. What are you taking for your pain? Is it restricted to your vaginal area or radiating to adjacent too? Try taking some Tylenol. See your doctor if the condition worsens, you would want to treat any infection promptly.
