Bandana bibs. I had a family member make me some, but I also bought a few at Target. They look better than a regular bib and absorb better. He was drooling through regular cotton bibs. I just did an Amazon search for "bandana bib" and there are a ton of options.

@snowjewelz: my favorite bibs are ones from China. They're enormous, use snaps, cotton on front with a plastic liner in the back. My dd has been going through 2 bibs an hour!

So far the freakishly adorable bibdana ones I got on etsy. I can send you the shop info if you like, she has a bazillion fabrics to choose from. Though I need to just make them myself it would be more cost effective! I also have some drool scarves (look like infinity scarves but snap in back) from etsy as well en route...keep you posted.

@MenagerieMama: can you send me the bibdana etsy shop

We like the Just One You (Carters for Target) ones that come in three packs. They have a plastic layer that keeps the drool from soaking through.

I like born free bibs! Big enough but not too big. Very absorbent. They fit the best around the neck (no major gapping which defeats the purpose). Snaps instead of Velcro. I always go for them if they are clean in the drawer.

@SweetiePie: thanks for your review! I had those in my cart too.. Even in the picture they look thick already and I like that the snap is not in the back but more to the front!

@snowjewelz: Yes! I wasn't sure how to explain this, but since I cradle him on my left side and at bedtime he dozes off while feeding him, I like that the snap is on my right. It's easy to use my right hand to unsnap it without waking him. And the snap is quieter than Velcro! I just love them!

@SweetiePie: nice! that's def a detail that you don't really think about until you're using them!

I bought the Green Sprouts ones from Amazon because they have the waterproof layer also. They're also soft and good sized. I just checked and it seems like they went up in price like crazy though.

@Speechie315: Super cute! It's so hard to pick from all the amazing etsy shops! I'll look at yours when we're looking to restock if I'm still to lazy to make my own

I love the construction of Charis Kid bibs. I wish they came in different colors though!

@snowjewelz: I don't remember but I'm guessing closer to $10 than $20 for sure. You get 10 to a package so it's still less than $2 per bib. Not bad I guess.
