Daily reports ended at 2.5 and they do end of week summary sheet. I can always talk to her teachers if I want more info. The teachers mark all diaper changes, potty attempts, accidents on a master sheet that is taped in the bathroom area until the kids are potty trained.

At that age (2.5) we didn't really get much info unless we talked to the teachers. I would usually chat with his morning teacher when I dropped him off. This was at our previous daycare which was a small center. When he was an infant we got a paper with all of his nap times, diaper changes and feeding times as well as anything extra they wanted us to know.

At our new center (started at 3 yrs old, will be 4 next month) we get a slip of paper that tells us if he ate his lunch, napped, how his mood was and a couple little blurbs about his day. If he had a particularly rough day they will mention that as well (i.e. he's had "we are working on our listening ears" written down a lot...). This is a very large center with a lot of classrooms and children. I feel like at this age I really don't need a ton of information from the teacher because I can ask him about his day. I do try to make a point to talk to one of his main teachers a couple times a week, just to see how he is behaving and if we need to work on anything at home.

My LO's are 11 month and 27 months. (They move to new rooms at 18 months and 3 yrs.) Both get daily reports with food, sleep, diapering/toileting, and some kind of note about their day. In the infant room, each child also has a point person who talks with the parent at pick-up and drop-off. In the toddler room, the child enters and leaves the room independently, but we occasionally get verbal feedback then too. (Normally, it's just a quick exchange of pleasantries as the toddler goes in/out.) We communicate by email whenever we like. LO1 is currently working on potty-training, and his teacher has arranged a couple of longer meetings with us and has sent some long weekly updates about what he's been doing at school wrt toileting. There are also parent-teacher meetings available twice a year, and we get a written overview of their development once a year.

Our son is 17 months and at an in home daycare so we don't get formal sheets but I ask how my sons day was and they will tell me his disposition, how long he napped, what they fed him for lunch and snack, and if he ate well.

2) How often do you get feedback on LO? Daily? Weekly?
We get daily reports with a minimum for a couple of photos via an app called KindyHub. Its not totally personalised, they use the same report for all the parents within an age group, but each kid is mentioned by name for at least a coupe of the activities (ie, Suzy and Jack played with the dinosaurs, while Jane and Mike played in the kitchen, type of thing)
3) What format does the feedback come in? Verbal?Written?
Written via an app, and I get verbal feedback most days from one of his carers.
4) Do you get more feedback if LO is in the middle of a change? Potty training? Etc
Not really experienced with that yet, but they were wonderful when we were trying to get his weight up, reporting every morsel of food and ml of milk he was drinking. It was like they were as concerned as we were! Thats when I truly fell in love with our daycare.

We just get verbal feedback at the end of the day and only if there is something noteworthy

Daily reports thru pre-school (they became less detailed when she moved to preschool)....

Lots more verbal feedback during moves from room to room or during major events (potty training, walking, etc)

I also chit chat w the teachers at drop off and pick up to get informal feedback...

3 times a year we get parent/teacher conferences...

I've got a five month old and I'm not thrilled with the communication from his daycare. We're switching to my work daycare in a few weeks, so I'm not worrying about it too much, but it would be a big concern if we were going to continue there. Naps are sporadic and often don't have times written down, ounces of milk eaten don't match with the bottles that they send back, and today in his activity blurb if they mentioned that he loved crawling around, and he doesn't crawl yet.
