Summer camp (also at DCP) they do 1 field trip a week once you turn 4

Every month they have one bigger field trip (zoo, museum, public park that is further away, etc.). In the summer, they go to the city beach every week. I don't know of parents joining the trips, but field trips are extremely common here for all ages (daycare and school), so I guess parents are used to it.

LOs preschool doesn't do field trips. I think they wait until the kids are in kindergarten. But they routinely walk over to the forest and have a field day. The forest is attached to the school so it really isn't a field trip. I heard they occasionally take a dip on the lake during the summer, but it hasn't gotten warm enough for it to happen yet. The lake borders the forest, so it's just walking a few steps farther.

My lo has been to a nursing home, pumpkin patch, an indoor playground, and the park since starting preschool in October. Parents are allowed to chaperone, but I haven't gone in any trips

Two-- one w/ parents to the pumpkin patch (we didn't have school that day at all), and the other was when they walked to the dentist's office. They'll be walking to the post office next week to buy stamps for a parent's Valentine Day card.

DD goes to a forest school so she's out in the woods every other week. They also go on walking outings around the community every week during the autumn, spring, and summer term - I don't even know where they go half the time as it's just part of the curriculum and not something for which permission needs to be sought.

Parents never attend these field trips - there are 24 kids in the class and six teachers (although there is usually at least one having their planning time at any given time), so for outings, they take ten kids and two teachers, with the rest staying back in the school.
