So LO is 8 mo and really not interested in solids. I offer now twice per day and I've tried to give her a pretty wide variety of stuff. We started with BLW but now I offer both finger food and pouches because she sometimes seems to do better with pouches than whole food (but its hit or miss).
Things I"ve offered: Avocado (allergic), sweet potato (intolerant), broccoli, snow peas, frozen peas, carrots, lettuce, butternut squash, apples, bananas, kiwi, pears, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, whole wheat pasta, oatmeal (with various of the above mixed in), turkey, various pouches (either fruit or fruit/veg mix), paleo pancakes (banana/egg blended and cooked) and organic apple puffs.
Almost every single thing I've offered she makes a horrible sour face when she tastes it. We keep offering things and pouches she seems to eat okay(ish) usually but not always (but only like, maybe 1 tbspn max and she is done). She will always eat pears, but usually only 1/2-1 slice before she is done. She isn't *excited* to eat any of the above. The only thing she actually seems excited about are the stupid puffs lol. She eats them 1000x better than anything else we offer.
So I'd like to figure out more puff-like food that has actual nutrition I could offer her. She also also MSPI so no dairy or soy.
Any thoughts? I feel like it is maybe a textural thing with the puffs that she likes that they are crunchy-ish...?
Is that dried fruit like at TJs? I thought they always added a bunch of sugar and shit to that though? Or is there a better place to get it? Also are there any kinds that are soft enough to melt or gum? She has no teeth and is not the most awesome ever at figuring out bite sizes yet.
Buuuut what have I got to lose right? I'll give it a try!
how do you roast them/present them? (when i've tried cooking pears in the past they got too mushy for her to hold)
