Peas is something I won't eat. If it was in fried rice, I might have some but usually separate my peas from the rice.

@bluestriped bee: Yup to peas! Also yogurt, red apples, and fat (ugh, she always eats the rest of my bacon and chicken wings).

@bluestriped bee: Greek yogurt. I hate it with a passion. He loves it. Ditto cottage cheese.

Jam (some of you might call it jelly.... the fruit crap you spread on your toast). Yuck!

Olives. Meat of any kind. Limes. I love lime in or on things, but he will gnaw on it plain. Weirdo.

How do you guys even find out? I wouldn't even have access to / order food that I don't eat and give it to DS..! Say I don't eat bell peppers. Why would I buy them in the first place ?
I guess I have to say milk. DS's favorite drink - I drink it in coffee but not gobble down a whole glass of milk like he does.

I can't think of anything! The only foods I don't really like are olives, eel on sushi and some kinds of cooked fish. LO probably wouldn't touch any of those.

@irene: I go shopping and see something I could give my kids and try it out. I don't see why we have to feed them only things we would eat.
Although, your kid is older and might be more picky with foods. Mine are babies and will try anything we give them.
I don't see why I could start them early with different types of food and try things I don't like.
Maybe when they start eating the same foods we eat, they'll most likely only eat foods we'll eat. But for now, I'm experimenting the letting them eat different kinds of food. Why not... haha.
Also, there are foods that DH likes but I don't like.

@bluestriped bee: Haha, hey i didn't mean "eww why would you buy something that you won't eat and give it to your kid", not at all! I was just honestly wondering. Haha!
I think we eat almost anything you can find in the grocery store, if I know how to cook them. The only thing I can think of which I don't like is bell pepper, and I truly didn't have the motivation to, say, buy a bell pepper, chop it up and steam it and see if he'd eat it.
ETA: OK there are a number of vegetables that I don't know how to make and truly didn't try it with DS because I don't know how to make them: eg. collard greens. Or chestnut (which I eat, but a pain in the butt to make). Then there are things like cabbage, coconut, papaya, which we don't cook/eat often, and there is no reason for me to buy a whole head for him to try.
If you ask for a list of things that I eat and DS doesn't eat, then I have an essay to write. hahaha.
And good for you that you have a baby who tries mostly everything!

@irene: Haha. Yeah, but I'm sure if you ask me next year, my kids will probably have completely different tastes.
persimmon / 1130 posts
Cherry tomatoes. I will only eat them fresh from our garden, otherwise I can't stand them. DD would eat buckets full of those if we let her.
grapefruit / 4988 posts
Fresh figs, beef jerky, and little seed/protein bars from the Whole Foods bulk section. Oh and she will just eat raw basil leaves, plain, from our garden. Ironically, she will pick it off anything cooked.
@irene: Some of this is stuff that DH likes so he buys it, and some is stuff we've tried together (like figs, we just decided one day at the grocery store to get some and try them).
