Fourth of July? More like labor day!!

    Well, that got a bit rough. Some practice pushes dropped the baby's heart rate, so they had me start pushing asap. Two and a half hours of not very enjoyable pushing later, her head remained firmly stuck under my pubic bone. Decision was made to have a c section, and my gorgeous little girl snuck in as a 4th of July baby at 11:47pm. She is wonderful, and I'm recovering

    Aw. That's exactly what happened with Ellie! Soak up the moments with that beautiful baby of yours. I really found that using a support belt helped. I didn't have one with Ellie, but asked for one at the hospital after Lorelei, and it made the recovery feel much better. It just supports your abdomen where the incision is and to me it felt more comfortable and secure than going without. Also, take some colace or start eating some high fiber foods if your doctor says it's okay to now. I hope you have a smooth recovery.
