I keep hearing other people's babies cry in the hallway! I think at least 5-6 have been born since I got here last night (it's probably a higher # since I'm only near a couple of other rooms, but better not to think about that). Am trying not to be discouraged. Have a balloon in now that should get me to 4 cm and they started pitocin...baby girl is doing great, so that's fabulous! I am feeling crappy but I don't want meds yet. If you are the praying type, please pray for progress!

@tororojo: hope things progress quickly for you. My induction went slow as well and my doctor felt the need to announce how many other inductions he started at the same time gave birth hours before...yea he thought he was a comedian. Anyway things really picked up once pitocin set in so I have confidence you will be meeting your baby very soon! Hang in there and try to rest up for the big moment!

@tororojo: Good luck! My induction was a very slow start and then TOOK OFF when they started the pit and I dilated super fast. Hope it goes quickly!

So my phone wouldn't pull up this site at the hospital anymore but I tried to update..
WE HAVE A BABY! Little Luisa was born at 4:30am on Wed after my induction started Mon night at 8. She was not so little--9 lbs, 5 oz! I couldn't believe all of that came out of me! Pitocin + breaking my water finally got things going, and I am soooo thankful for epidurals!!!
She is absolutely adorable and DH and I are in love! Got home this afternoon and BFing is going fairly well but I'm starting to get sore. No milk yet but LCs promise me it's close. 2nd degree tear of the lady bits and only 1 rhoid, which I thought was pretty lucky for a baby of that size!
Can't wait to get caught up and see what other babies have joined the world this week!
