You can do it, and YAY that you get to meet your baby soon! I had a Foley balloon (and just about everything else they use for inducing) and it was a weird sensation, but it got the dilating going! It'll be great!

Have been waiting in triage for over an hour and a half now. Resident got called to a delivery. At least someone around here is having a baby!

Foley is in after three very painful attempts. Now undergoing an hour of fetal monitoring. Cramping really badly...hopefully that's a good sign.

Just updating to say nothing too exciting happening here.
The Foley catheter came right out when my midwife gave it a little pull this morning and it left me at 2cm dilated. Baby was still too high for my water to be broken though, so instead they went right to pitocin, which meant a transfer of care from my midwife to the attending OB. Midwife will still be here as labour support though.
Have been on pitocin for a few hours now. Apparently I'm contracting but I don't really feel anything at the moment. Pretty boring for now....

@googly-eyes: apparently! Was just checked and am between 4 and 5 cm. They broke my water. Now just waiting for more intense contractions to start.

@hergreenapples: Yayy!!! Things are moving along! Breaking your water should help. Mine didn't break til pushing...I was in labor like 3 days. Blah! So exciting, your lo will be here very soon! Hope you have an easy labor from here out! Can't wait to hear your announcement!
