@FutureMrsMcK: wow they gave me an epidural at 3cm and i was in crying pain! but it was with my second child so maybe that's why. my labor was really fast.
i know 3cm contractions can be painful. glad you got your epidural and can't wait to meet your little bee. good luck! we're hoping for a smooth, safe delivery!

Quick update: after 32 hrs of excruciating back labor and two epidurals that ultimately failed., my son Evan Charles arrived sunny side up at 1:31pm. 8lbs12oz, 20" long and nurses like a champ. I've been awake for 37 hrs and had a massive post partum hemmorhage...they just now let me eat and drink but I haven't been allowed out of bed yet.
We're so in love. Pictures to follow.
