We just got notice that there will be a power outage for scheduled maintenance from 5am-6pm next Saturday 10/29. I'm totally freaking out about what I'm gonna do w all my frozen milk!!!

I know they say to keep it in the freezer and not open the freezer door but our deep freezer is in the garage where temps are warmer. Luckily the forecast is low 70s next Saturday, but could definitely get warmer in SoCal. And isn't that only for just 3-4hrs?

Or would it be better to throw all the frozen bags of milk into a huge ice chest packed with lots of bags of ice and ice packs and keep replenishing the ice every few hours. We live a few minutes from the store and can go pick up bags of ice. I could also freeze lots of the bigger ice packs the night before.
